The key to numerology
Numerology has perhaps been around since humans first learned
to count. Special significance attached to numbers or their
position in a sequence can be found in most belief systems.
The study of numerology allies the significance of numbers
to the alphabet. This makes it possible to analyze names
to find their numeric significance. There are two widely
used systems. The Chaldean and the Pythagorean systems of
Pythagorean or Western Numerology

The Pythagorean System of numerology is said to have originated
from the Greek mathematician Pythagoras of Samos. He was
born in 580 B.C. and he studied the numerology systems of
India, Arabia, Persia, Palestine, Phoenicia, Chaldea, Babylon,
and Egypt. Pythagoras is best know for his solution to the
hypotenuse of a right angle triangle. In the Pythagorean
System of numerology letters are assigned a number by their
position in a sequence.
Although these pages are based on the Pythagorean System
of numerology, the Chaldean System of numerology key will
work just as well, do note though this would have to follow
with ALL calculations.
Chaldean or Eastern Numerology
The Chaldean System of numerology has its roots in Ancient
Babylon. This system is related to the Vedic System of India
and the Kabbalah System of the Hebrew mystics.
The underlying premise of Chaldean numerology is that every
letter has a unique vibration. Numbers are assigned to letters
based on the vibrational value.
Letters are assigned numeric values from 1 to 8.
